Digital Literacy Instructor
Part-Time with Full-Time Potential – Work from Home

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Digital Literacy Instructor to join our team, focused on providing support to clients undergoing vocational rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess a background in supporting others through life transitions, coupled with expertise in Microsoft Office programs. The role involves empowering clients with the digital skills necessary for success in today’s workforce while offering emotional support to address the unique challenges they may face during this time in their lives.
Responsibilities:
Digital Literacy Training
- Manage incoming client referrals.
- Contact clients via telephone to schedule appointments.
- Deliver one-on-one, virtual digital literacy training programs tailored to the needs and skill levels of clients.
- Provide comprehensive instruction on Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Individualized Support
- Conduct assessments to identify the digital literacy skills of individual clients.
Emotional Support
- Foster a supportive and empathetic environment for clients navigating vocational rehabilitation.
- Address emotional and psychological aspects related to the challenges of acquiring new skills and re-entering the workforce.
Progress Monitoring
- Track and document clients’ progress in both digital literacy and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to adjust strategies based on individual needs.
Collaboration
- Attend team meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Proactive, empathetic and motivational approach to working with clients, identifying and solving problems.
- Understanding of mental health barriers facing individuals who may have experienced trauma.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and levels of digital literacy.
- Effective time management and organization skills to balance the demands of one-on-one instruction of multiple learners with varying skill levels.
- Detail-oriented, deadline driven with the ability to follow standard processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Reliable and consistent with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Degree in the “helping profession” such as but not limited to Social Work, Social Service Work, Teacher, Educational Assistant, Mental Health Worker, etc.
Experience
- Proven experience as a digital literacy instructor or in a related role.
- Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation processes and challenges.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (or ability to self-teach).
- Ability to adapt to emerging digital tools and technologies.
Languages:
- English is mandatory.
- French is considered an asset.
Wage:
- $19.00 - $23.00 per hour.

Vocational Report Specialist (VRS)
Part-Time / Work from Home
*Must be able to dedicate a minimum of 8-10 hours per week*
As a Vocational Report Specialist (VRS) at Geseron Employment Consulting (GEC) Ltd., you will be responsible for the review and analysis of a client’s existing education, training, experience, and restrictions/limitations (e.g.: medical, physical, psychological, cognitive) in order to determine alternative/transferable occupational options within expectations such as earning requirements, specific vocational preparation (SVP) ranking, and demonstrated skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review in depth file information such as employment documents, medical information, and job descriptions.
- Understanding the impact of restrictions/limitations and with the file information provided, determine if a client could meet the demands of their previous occupation and what may be possible if not, regarding returning to work.
- Objectively research and identify appropriate alternative and transferable occupational options based upon a variety of file factors.
- Understanding labour market trends and employment outlook as it relates to recommendations for occupations.
- Completion of detailed, systemized vocational reports (such as Transferable Skills Analysis - TSA, Labour Market Research – LMR, etc.) as per GEC guidelines and standards within the expected timeframes.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the vocational rehabilitation industry.
- Reliable and consistent with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented and deadline driven.
- Computer or laptop with proof of antivirus software.
- High-speed internet connection.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office applications.

- Professional credentials relating to the practice of vocational rehabilitation, e.g.: Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada – VRAC (Registered Rehabilitation Professional - RRP, Registered Vocational Progression – RVP), Canadian Society of Professionals in Disability Management – CSPDM (Certified Disability Management Professional – CDMP, Certified Return to Work Coordinator - CRTWC), College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals – CVRP (Return to Work Disability Managers - RTWDM, Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional - CVRP, CVRP – Transferable Skills Analysis - TSA, Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator - CCVE), etc.

Vocational Service Specialist (VSS)

As a Vocational Service Specialist at Geseron Employment Consulting (GEC) Ltd., you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their career development journey while equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to re-enter the workforce successfully. You will also be responsible for the review and analysis of a client’s existing education, training, experience, and restrictions/limitations in order to complete vocational reporting and assessments of employment or employability options.
Job Responsibilities:
Job Search Assistance Programs
- Guide and educate clients through GEC’s structured Job Search Assistance programs.
- Teach clients job search strategies and prepare them for job interviews.
- Generate new cover letters, resumes, and/or portfolios.
- Motivate, monitor progress, and support clients as they transition back into the workforce.
- Ensure delivery of all required program information as well as ongoing detailed reporting from each client interaction as per GEC guidelines and standards within the expected timeframes.
- Minimum of once weekly contact with clients throughout programs.
Vocational Assessment and Reporting Services
- Review in depth file information such as employment documents, medical information, and job descriptions.
